I'm doing the video about magic and Equestria
I need examples where magic was explored or explained
have some theories of my own ,but love to hear new ideas.

Jun 08, 2016my theory has to much science involved or to simple.
my theory is that the magic is activated with some kind of chemical reaction within the ponies body or horn and then bam magic. might not be the best but it is my theory.

Nov 11, 2015Old post, but I'll give it a shot.
From what I've observed, magic is inherent in every pony's body. Their race determines how that magic is expressed:
- earth ponies' magic strengthens their entire body and cultivates the land they walk on as an entirely passive expression of magic.
- pegasii's magic are expressed in their wings and partially their bodies, making them aerodynamic and affecting the gravity of things attached to them (wagons, etc.)
- unicorns' magic is expressed externally only through their horn. The horn must be more than just bone--something organic attached to the brain allows its owner to materialize the pony's inherent magic reserves in the form of spells, the most simple being telekinesis. The bone grows around it to protect the unique tissue.
