Snowlight Grove
By: Greyscale Cynical
Twix light of lantern that guildith thy way,
through the blistering winter day, throughout the day you see the light, of
which the sun that shine so bright, the night shall fall and the winds will
blow, throughout the caverns of the Snowlight Grove, There we shall see the
moons light fade, until the night then turns to day.
Snowlight Grove a place so far, from the
nights so precious moon and star, only light shines upon this place, this place
of light and shining days, none shall disturb the one who sees, the lights
radiant voice of beauty, if she’s disturbed while in her state, the gods of
light will destroy the day.
Snowlight Grove so happy and free, did not see
the misery, of the world of which was theirs, light was great upon their land,
but the light had faded for those so grand, they choose to ignore, they looked
away, they only wanted the light of today.
They would not help those outside, the light
was theirs until they died. When the light had gone away so did the shadows
come to play. But their play causes horror and freight throughout this
blistering winter's night, causing even the bravest of fellows to moan and weep
and bellow.
When all was said and done that night the
shadows danced away from the spot ripe, with blood and ash from the dead that
stay, upon the land now dark and grey.
But hope was not lost for under the spire,
hide 3 little one that would soon inquire, "Where has the light
gone?", "Why has it vanished?", "was it perhaps because we
were selfish?” They looked about, they cried and weeped, their loved ones lay
dead now at their feet.
They sat for a while, they tried to pray, for
the lights rays to shine on their day. But then from the distance a flicker
sparked and fizzled, it was something that was bright or glimmered or twinkled.
"The light, the light it did not go away!" "It merely moved to
brighten someone else's day." And so they all knew, it was time to go, in
search of the light that they once had known. They said their farewells; they
said their goodbyes to Snowlight Grove with tears in their eyes. Then they
went forward, into the night, because that was the way, back to the light.
THE END
